4. Organic Skincare Business: Start Your Own Organic Skincare Business

The Organic Skincare Business Course will guide you through, not only starting your own organic skincare business, but how to remain a steady competitor in the industry.

Skincare is an important part of everyone’s lives, not just to look better but to improve the health of skin and protect from the very real dangers of UV rays and other harmful pollutants.

More people are also becoming aware that the skincare products that they currently buy can be harmful themselves, both to their bodies and the environment, and are therefore turning to organic skincare products. This is of particular note in celebrity culture and this thinking is being endorsed by dermatologists, making it the perfect time to invest in the industry.

This course aims to provide a good base knowledge about organic skincare; a little history and how it has evolved over the years. Differences between organic and chemical skincare; outlining the benefits of organic over chemical, including its effects and how it nourishes and protects from harmful exterior forces.

The Organic Skincare Business Course goes into detail about the global market for organic skincare, including how these products are more sustainable, holistic, and kinder to the environment compared with their chemical compound counterparts. Also discussed, are the demographics and statistics associated with the global skincare industry, who is interested in these products and how to cater for them, and some more information on the background of the skincare industry.

As with any industry, credibility is key to creating a profitable business. You will learn about the science behind organic products. Just as importantly as credibility, this information will also ensure your products are uniquely effective, which in turn will set the path for a much more loyal consumer base.

You will learn about the importance of research and development and understanding the fundamentals of organic chemistry; knowing the various therapeutic properties of different substances and which go together, and which do not. Of course, this is how you will create products that differ from anything else on the market; creating your USP (unique selling proposition) and keeping your business competitive.

We show you how it is important to keep up with current trends, being endorsed by celebrities and relevant bloggers, and ensuring the products you offer and the business itself evolves, adapts and keeps up with the changing landscape of the industry. Specific case studies are provided to show how real-world companies overcome obstacles and remain successful.

Whether you’re a first-time business owner or a seasoned veteran, module seven of the Organic Skincare Business Course provides valuable information about what to expect from running your own business.

Introducing you to essential oils, where they come from, how they are used, how they are made and recipes showing you how you can make your own. Then the course shows you how to build an essential oils business.

Essentials oils are liquids that have been distilled from leaves, barks, stems, roots, flowers or others parts of plants, using water or stream. Even though they are called oils, they do not actually feel oily. Essential oils are usually clear, although some are coloured, such as lemongrass, orange and patchouli oils. These are highly concentrated liquids, which means that even a small amount of an oil will go a long way.

Contrary to popular belief, there is a difference between essential oils and fragrance oils. Essential oils come from pure plant derivatives, whereas perfume oils are manufactured artificially or have some artificial substances. Consumers of fragrance oils cannot derive the same benefits as they could have from essential oils. Essential oils have such an aroma and chemical composition that they can provide some essential physical therapeutic and psychological advantages to individuals.

Various methods are used by people to derive these advantages from essential oils, such as inhalation or direct application of oil to their skin. In order to apply essential oils to the skin, they usually have to be diluted first with another carrier oil. There are different types of carrier oils, such as grape seed oil, sweet almond oil and kernel oil. This diluted oil can then be applied onto the skin and blended in so that the skin can fully absorb it.

Beyond a Scent
Although the obvious connotation with essential oils is their use to provide a welcoming scent, their uses range far beyond this. For example, a popularised oil, lavender, is well known to calm nerves and aid sleep when used as a scent but it can also be used for medicinal purposes, such as alleviating minor burns, skin rashes, insect bites and acne. It can also be massaged into the temples and forehead in order to relieve headaches, used together with baking soda it can be used as a deodorant, and it can be added to steam to help improve respiratory infections and sinus issues.

The same is true of other oils, such as tee tree and lemon. Tea tree can help with nail fungus, acne, warts, cold sores, athlete’s foot, eczema or dermatitis, insect bites, dandruff, psoriasis, and head lice. It can even be used as a disinfectant spray and can also keep fleas away from pets.

Lemon essential oil can be mixed with olive oil in order to make some furniture polish, it can be mixed with oil and water to prevent bad breath, or with aloe gel to make an antibacterial hand cleaner. Added to baking soda, it will make an antibacterial score for butcher blocks and wooden chopping boards, it is also often added to homemade cleaning agents, such as laundry soap, dish detergent, spray cleaners and floor cleaners.

If this has piqued your interest and you would like to know more about essential oils, including and beyond their different therapeutic uses, and how to make and sell them, then the Essential Oils Business Course could well be for you.

10. Mindful Nutrition: Learn About Healthy, Clean And Mindful Eating

In the Western world we have lost control. We generally grow up richer, with more possessions than the human race has ever seen, we don’t usually go hungry and we have developed a culture of instant gratification.

No longer do we eat in response to just our real hunger – our emotions, habits and behaviours and the addictive properties that are now added to everyday foods play a huge part in our mindless eating.

Whether you have been yo-yo dieting for most of your life, are interested in learning about clean eating or want to help others to get off the dieting bandwagon, Mindful Nutrition is the course for you!

There is an overwhelming link between our minds, our bodies and the food in which we eat. Yet without education and stillness of thought we barely recognise the connection.

We rush into each day, eat over processed foods and worry about our weight and body image. Every town is filled with fatty foods, temptation and every supermarket aisle filled with foods that are harming our body, mood and mental health.

There are a number of exercises within the course that are entirely personal to you. They are designed to reform your thinking patterns, on a subconscious basis, as we work through the course. This learning style will ensure that you get the very best from the course and the contents within it.

Who would benefit from the course?

This Mindful Nutrition Certificate course would benefit us all and addresses all of the habits that we are raised to embrace, it addresses how you can quieten your own mind and fuel your body properly. We talk of mindfulness, nutrition and how the two are linked. The contents of the course will change your view of food forever, along will preparing you to show others the way back to eating with awareness.
